What you'll see
An octagonal Roman building turned into a church, with carved wooden doors and a domed interior, and a tall Romanesque bell tower beside it. The climb up the tower's narrow stairs ends with a view over the palace roofs, the harbour and the islands.
A brief history
It was built as Diocletian's own mausoleum; centuries later it became a cathedral named after St Domnius, a bishop the emperor had put to death, which makes it one of the oldest cathedral buildings still in use.
