What you'll see
Turin's symbol, a brick tower with a needle spire, with a playful cinema museum spiralling up inside and a glass lift that rises through the middle to a terrace over the city and, on clear days, the Alps.
A brief history
It was begun in the 1860s as a synagogue and grew so tall and expensive that the city took it over; for a while it was the tallest brick building in the world.
