What you'll see
A tall Gothic church with a wooden ship's-keel roof; in a side chapel, the pieced-together remains of Mantegna's frescoes.
A brief history
Allied bombs destroyed most of Mantegna's frescoes in 1944; restorers spent decades fitting tens of thousands of fragments back.
